It is typically used in high-security environments such as airports, prisons, and military installations. The turnstile consists of a rotating barrier that blocks unauthorized entry and allows only one person at a time to pass through. The barrier is made of metal, and the turnstile is designed to prevent tailgating or piggybacking, which means two or more people trying to enter after the first person has gained access. the full height turnstile is more secure than other types of turnstiles because it blocks the entire entryway and prevents people from climbing over or under the barrier. It can be operated manually or by using some form of access control device such as a card or biometric reader.
